Dear members of the Body of Christ,
In some countries, the Summer holidays are ending. In some locations, schools classes have already started; in other areas, the classes will begin in a few days. Everybody enjoys the same events - it is just that the details that are different.
It is the same with spiritual growth.
Some souls are actively enjoying spiritual growth while others are frozen in time. Some Christians strive to achieve spiritual growth while others are indifferent to the grace of God. Some of the faithful are slow at embracing Catholic teachings while others enjoy Divine insight. Some Catholics embrace Spiritual devotions while others have no time for them. Some souls receive the Sacraments on a regular basis while others only do so once a year.
What I am getting at is "Life is what you make it!" If you are spiritual dry, you cannot blame God or the Church for your shortfall. The graces of God are bestowed upon those who seek them. If you do not ask for God's blessings in words (prayers) or actions (counting on Divine Providence for your good works), you will not receive them.
God gives aboundantly to those who ask. His graces, gifts of infinite love, surpasses the size of an ocean. During a lifetime, we only need a small portion of that ocean. If we do not use it, it will remain there forever. For those graces have your name on them and they await your regular requests. Take a moment now to ask God for some of those graces, that you may share in the spiritual growth that awaits all who have been baptised in Christ, with Christ and through Christ.
May the graces of the Lord always shine on you.
