Dear children of the Eternal Light,
The First Sunday of Advent, to be celebrated on November 27, 2011, is a day that will go down in the history of the English speaking population of the Roman Catholic Church. That is the day when the changes to the words of the Holy Mass will officially take place to harmonize with the New Roman Missal and the General Instruction.
The new translation of the Roman Missal will correspond much more closely to the exact words and phrasing of the Latin text, with clearer allusion to scripture. Such is presently found in the liturgy of all the non-English speaking countries. The General Instruction for the Roman Missal (GIRM) also place emphasis on silence, reverence and transcendence, over and above unity in posture during the celebration of the liturgy. For example, everyone will be expected to kneel during the consecration, doing away with the division on this matter, some standing while others were kneeling.
Catholic Doors Ministry welcomes these long overdue changes that will unite the faithful where there was division. I pray that all share my view so the Body of Christ may enjoy the peace and unity that Jesus desired for His Church. May the Lord Jesus bless you all.
In the love of the two hearts (Jesus and Mary),
