Monthly Newsletter of December, 2009.
(Issue # 116)

Dear members of the Mystical Body of Christ,

Once more, we are closing a calendar year in the hope that the new year to come shall be one of greater peace and joy in our families, in our community and in the world.

During 2009, Pope Benedict XVI declared the “Year for Priests” beginning with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June. This special year will conclude in Rome with an international gathering of priests with the Holy Father from June 9 th to the 11 th, 2010.

At the same time, the Pope declared St. John Vianney as the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150 th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars. Other than Jesus Christ, this great Saint is a perfect model for all the Catholic priests who want to grow in priestly perfection.

During the past month, on the website, I have increased the number of prayers for priests. I shall continue to do so during the next month. It is hoped that many of the faithful shall take advantage of this opportunity to pray for the many needs of our priests.

Effective January, 2010, regarding my emailing of the Monthly Newsletter to everyone on the mailing list, there shall be a change. Future monthly emails shall only contain the link to the webpage that has the latest newsletter. The emails will no longer contain all the details of the newsletter. In order to view the newly released newsletter, members will have to click on the link. They will then be taken to the webpage of the Catholic Doors Ministry where the newsletter is stored.

This new procedure will greatly reduce the size of the monthly emails, overcoming situations where emails are being returned to me because the mailboxes are nearly full and the newsletter is to large for the amount of space leftover in the mailbox. When emails from the mailing list are returned to me, I delete those emails addresses from the mailing list. I believe that if someone wants to subscribe to the Catholic Doors Ministry monthly newsletter, that person has an obligation to make sure that he/she is providing me with (1) a valid email address (2) to which emails can be delivered to on a monthly basis.

This change should not be an inconvenience to anyone. When receiving the email, all you have to do is click on the link. Your browser will open with the newsletter webpage on it. You can then proceed to read the newsletter online or offline, whichever is your preference. If you normally print the email, now instead of printing the email, you will be required to print the webpage.

In conclusion, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year with all the spiritual riches that are necessary for each and everyone of you to attain eternal salvation. Jesus awaits us at the end of our spiritual journey on earth; let us not shipwreck on the way there. For we know not the day and the hour when He will call us home. May we always remain united in prayer for strength to persevere in our faith, over and above our commitment to defend and promote the Catholic faith. May God bless you all.

In the love of Jesus and Mary,
