Dear children of the Lord Jesus,
This week, we are entering the month of May, known throughout the centuries as the month of Mary. In many Churches, special devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be held daily during the early evening. Such devotions serve the purpose of recognizing the blessings that the Blessed Virgin Mary has received from God, over and above we asking her to intercede on our behalf for our needs and the needs of those we love dearly.
The month of Mary is also the month when we celebrated Mother's Day. This special day permits us to display the love that we have towards our earthly mother. Some childen remember this day by buying a little gift for their mothers. Some adults use this opportunity to visit their mother's home, or they take her out for a meal. These little acts of love mean so much to the mothers who were God's instrument in giving life to the children.
Then there are those who's mothers have passed away and those who have never known their mother. Many of these individuals take this opportunity to visit a Church on Mother's Day. This permits them to converse with their earthly mother who has passed away or/and to converse with their Heavenly Mother, the Mother of Jesus who took them under her care many year ago.
Finally, there are those, for whatever reason, they no longer communicate with their mother. Mother's Day provides these suffering souls with the opportunity to pray for an improvement in the mother/child relationship, that it may shine in love by the grace of God.
During May, let us all pray for each other, that Mother's Day may be a joyful moment that will be remembered for years to come.
In the love of Jesus and Mary,
