regarding
THE GNOSTIC HERESY OF
THE OPHITES.

Q. 1. What can you tell me about the gnostic heresy of the Ophites?

A. 1. The gnostic heresy of the Ophites was that the serpent who tempted Adam and Eve was a hero, that the God who forbade Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge was the enemy.
