Q. 1. Where in the Holy Bible does it state that St. Michael is battling Satan in Heaven?

A. 1. There are a number of Bible passages that refer to the Heavenly battle between St. Michael the Archangel and Satan. A couple passages are quoted below:

"And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him." [Rev. 12:7-9]

"Jesus said to them, 'I watched Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning.'" [Luke 10:18]

In the following passage, the "stars" is a reference to the "angels."

"The Coming of the Son of Man 'But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in clouds’ with great power and glory."[Mk. 13:24-26]
