Frequently Asked Questions

Q. 1. I heard that those who practice homosexuality are eternally damned. Where does it say in the Holy Bible that God eternally condemns those who practice homosexuality?

A. 1. There are numerous passages in the Holy Bible that condemn the practice of homosexuality. Some of these are:

[1 Cor. 6:9-10] "Do you know that wrongdoers will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers - none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God."

[1 Tim. 1:8-10] "Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it legitimately. This means understanding that the law is laid down not for the innocent but for the lawless and disobedient, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for those who their father or mother, for murderers, fornicators, sodomites, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which He entrusted to me."

[Rom. 1:24-27, 32] "Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to degrading natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error." "They know God's decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die - yet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them."

[Read Gen. 19:1-11] The men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house of Lot and insisted that the two guests (2 angels) be sent out so they could have sexual relationships with them. Consequently, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of the lifestyle of its people. [Gen. 19:12-29]

[Lev. 18:22] You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."

[Gen. 9:21-25] There is a reference to the son of Noah, Ham, who committed a homosexual act upon his father.

The above is a handful of reference related to the condemnation that awaits those who practice homosexuality. While God only need to give one warning regarding this specific abomination [Lev. 18:22], it had provided mankind with a greater number of warnings to make it clear that He detests the sin of homosexuality. While there is room in Heaven for homosexuals who live a chaste life, there is no room for homosexuals who practice homosexuality as an acceptable way of life.

In conclusion, it should be said that no one can serve two masters, God and Satan. Those who encourage, approve and are indifferent to the actions of homosexuals who practice homosexuality as a way of life, they are just as guilty as the practicing homosexuals and they shall lose their eternal salvation. For their encouragement, approval or indifference is instrumental to the lost of many souls.
