Q. 1. If I attend a Saturday evening "vigil," does that satisfy the Church regarding my Sunday obligation to attend Holy Mass?

A. 1. The Catholic Church Canon Law # 1248 1 states:

"The obligation of assisting at Mass is satisfied wherever Mass is celebrated in a catholic rite either on a holyday itself or on the evening of the previous day."

To answer your question, to attend a Saturday evening "vigil" is considered as satisfying one's Sunday obligation to attend Holy Mass on Sunday.
