Frequently Asked Questions
regarding
SILENCE DURING ADORATION
OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT.

Q. 1. How does one deal with those who chat in the Church during adoration of the Blessed Sacrament?

A. 1. Since you have a duty to defend the Blessed Sacrament, the following steps should be taken:

Notify the Coordinator of Adoration of the lack of respect of the Blessed Sacrament during the Hour of Adoration.

Recommend that a sign be posted in the Church during the Hour of Adoration, requesting silence of those who are present.

If the problem persist, you should then ask the chatting parties if they could take their conversation outside where it will not disrupt anyone.

If they refuse to do so, having a duty to defend the Blessed Sacrament, then firmly tell them, "I really must ask you to leave since you cannot control yourself in the Real Presence Of Jesus in the Most Holy Blessed Sacrament."
