Q. 1. What is the Agape Meal?
A. 1. In ancient time, Christians celebrated what became known as an "Agape Meal" (also known as "Love Meal") as part of their Eucharistic Liturgies.
This meal provided an opportunity for community members to rejoice in Christian fellowship. As part of the Easter Vigil celebration, all who had gathered for the Vigil were invited to join in the Agapa party afterwards. Some parishes celebrate this feast with wine, fresh fruit and cheese.
