Frequently Asked Questions
regarding
THE PURPOSE OF
THE SUNDAY MASS COLLECTION.

Q. 1. On Sundays, during the Holy Mass, the Church always does a money collection. What does the Church do with that money?

A. 1. The money collected on Sunday during the Holy Mass serves the purpose of keeping the Church alive. By that I mean it pays for the wage of the priest, the employees if applicable, building maintenance and renovations, the utilities (electrical, water and heat), outside property upkeeping, office supplies, the vestments for the services, etc... As you are required to attend to the needs of your home so it is comfortable, the Church committee is required to attend to the needs of the Church to ensure it meets the basic needs of the congregation within a safe environment.
