Frequently Asked Questions

Q. 1. When Catholics are asked if they are saved, how should they answer that question? We know we are saved through Jesus Christ but it is hard to explain to an Evangelical who keeps asking the question.

A. 1. When you as a Catholic is asked if you are saved, you should answer, "I have been saved," "I am being saved," and "I will be saved." Allow me to explain.

Biblical proof that "You have been saved" is found in 2 Corinthians 5:17 where it states, "So whoever is in Christ is a new creation."

Biblical proof that "You are being saved" is found in 1 Corinthians 15:2 where it states, "Through the Gospel you are also being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.:

Biblical proof that "You will be saved" is found in Romans 5:9 where it states, "How much more then, since we are now justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath."
