Frequently Asked Questions

Q. 1. What is wrong with following the crowd? If everybody else is doing it, why can't I do it?

A. 1. There are many trends in society and many of them are not according to God's law. Because everyone is getting drunk on Graduation Day and then driving, is it alright for you to get drunk and drive? No! "Everyone else is doing it” is not a good excuse to do wrong. Some seek to be popular by following the crowd while others act according to their conscience.

Jesus said, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it." [Mt. 7:13]

Saint Paul said, "I urge you to watch out for those who cause dissension and raise obstacles which are contrary to what you were taught." [Rom 16:17]

Finally, in the Gospel of Matthew you read, "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." [Mt. 6:24] Choose wisely!
